| Kara Larzelere
Practice Area Overview. Kara Larzelere joined Gallagher & Associates, P.C. in 1994. Ms. Larzelere concentrates her practice in insurance and corporate matters. She advises insurance companies and insurance agencies on a variety of matters of concern including issues of regulatory compliance, insurance coverage, liability, employment law, organizational structure and acquisitions. Ms. Larzelere represents businesses and individuals in defending liability claims and represents insurance companies and commercial entities in complex business and insurance litigation. In addition, Ms. Larzelere has briefed over a dozen appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court on varied issues including fiduciary duty law, consumer protection, and indemnification. Most recently, Ms. Larzelere has expanded her practice to include the representation of lenders in real estate matters. Background. Prior to joining Gallagher & Associates, P.C., Ms. Larzelere worked for one year as a legal intern and one year as an attorney in the legal unit of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine where she negotiated and drafted letters of agreement and probation agreements between physicians and the Board and presented legal difficulties and compliance issues before the Board. As a legal intern during law school, Ms. Larzelere participated in Hate Crime investigations at the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office. Education and Affiliations. Ms. Larzelere earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1990 and a law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1993. She is admitted to the bars of Massachusetts and Connecticut and is admitted to practice in all courts in Massachusetts and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Ms. Larzelere is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association. She is also an approved title insurance agent for CATIC.
